One of the deep tissue release techniques I use is called the Graston Technique. It uses a flat aluminum or steel tool that rubs across lotion on the skin to loosen up the tightest muscle areas. This technique is rapidly gaining in popularity because of its effectiveness, especially with sports injuries, and is now used by almost all professional sports trainers. I did the training over 7 years ago and I’ve used it daily ever since. The technique has been used for 2,000 years by the Chinese but was adapted here about 20 years ago. Not everyone needs this technique and I can easily change the pressure depending on what a patient needs.
